Interior Palace Savastano

Interior of the courtyard

Inside the courtyard we find a large scissor staircase that leads to a 3-arched loggia.

Flight of stairs

Rampant lions with stucco coat of arms

The niche at the base of the ramps is decorated with two rampant lions and a stucco coat of arms of the de Pertis.

Eighteenth-century frescoes

At the end of the first two flights there are two eighteenth-century frescoes depicting sunrise and sunset.

The second flight of stairs, decorated with fine stuccoes, leads to the main floor characterized by a series of rooms that culminate in a central hall that survived the fire that struck the house during the Second World War. It preserves the eighteenth-century flooring, frescoes and stuccos bearing decorations with the coats of arms of the families who lived there; we also find an imposing lamp and antique furniture.

Each room is furnished with furniture and furnishings from different periods (from the 18th to the 20th century).

In the picture gallery we find works from the 1600s in Caravaggesque style. Interesting are the kitchens that preserve the ancient structure and the majolica from 1700.

The frescoes are by the caiatino painter Vincenzo Severino in particular the decorations of the winter garden stand out where the walls can be seen frescoed with moments of life of the ancient owners Brigida and Raffaele Savastano.
