San Pietro Church

San Pietro Church

The church was built in the eleventh century at the behest of the Count of Caiazzo, the Lombard Landolfo Franco.

It was built in 1757, on a pre-existing structure dedicated to the hypothetical passage of San Pietro to Caiazzo.

The building was made of tuff with a Greek cross plant.

The stucco decorations, which recall those of the Annunziata, were perhaps made on the designs of the same architect Tagliacozzi Canale or simply on his imitation.
